"The Ancient Story Of JUSTICE "

"Rape cases"!! We all have heard about it atleast for once in our life. Many females, starting from a 3 months old girl to a 70 years old lady got raped. But no strict actions has still not been taken, because "कानून अंधा है". These things had happened even in the Mahabharata period with 

Draupadi and we all are aware of its result. Similarly, one incident had happened in the period of Shri Ram, which most of us are unknown. Let's know it today....

Shri Ram and is three brothers had a rakhi-sister " Roshni (रोशनी) " , the daughter of Manthara (मंथरा) . She was a doctor. One day, she had gone for a medical camp in the Saraiyu Village along with her 2 assistants. Being kind, she was loved by everyone. It was already night, when she was checking her last patient.  When she was returning back to Ayodhya, 8 horse mounted men appeared, they were from the nearby village called Isla.  One of the riders was an adolescent named "Dhenuka (धेनूका )", the son of Isla's village chief. Near the bank of Sarayu river Roshni had stopped for taking some rest. While she was talking to Dhenuka , she felt uneasy. So, she walked up to her horse but Dhenuka immediately held her hand, pulling her back . Somehow, she had tried to run and escape bit unfortunately, had been caught up by the men of Dhenuka's gang. One of them slapped her so badly, that blood burst out from her injured lips and other twisted her hand brutally. She cried for help and mercy but they didn't listen to her. And then they brutally gang raped her. While on the other hand, her rakhi-brothers were searching her everywhere. Then, next day, her dead body was found near the bank of Sarayu River by Manthara's men, violated and bare. The corpses for her assistants lay a short distance away. Roshni's body was covered with bruises and bite marks. The monster's had ripped off some of her skin with their teeth, around her abdomen and bare arms, She had been beaten with a blunt object all over her body. Her face was torn on one side. The injuries and blot clots in her mouth suggested that she was alive throughout the brutal torture. Her death was unnatural and one of the rapists had poured acid on her throat. Manthara held her on her lap and cried continuously, her eyes were burning for justice. The rapists had been caught and brought into the court. The court had announced strict punishment to the rapists. The 7 other rapists had been given the punishment of execution. But Dhenuka escaped as he was not an adult. Ram didn't attend the execution of the 7 rapists. They had been executed with very much torture so that they could feel the pain which Roshni had gone through. But Dhenuka's - the main rapist had not been punished. Manthara's heart was burning for the death of Dhenuka. For this, she took help from Kaikeyi (कैकेयी) .  Bharat (भरत) had played a major role in giving justice to Roshni's soul. He kidnapped Dhenuka with the help of few of his soldiers. Suddenly, Bharat arrived  in front of him from dark.Dhenuka tried to convince him by saying " God had created women for men's enjoyment only". Bharat grabbed his throat. Bharat said "Women are not meant to be used. They are meant to be loved." He slowly began to squeeze Dhenuka's throat and a terror emerged on his mind. Bharat didn't let Dhenuka die easily. He tortured him as much as he had tortured his rakhi-sister, Roshni. So, he could understand the real meaning of "women".  Dhenuka at the end begged for mercy but nobody came. And at the end Dhenuka was brutally killed, his dead body was found next day. Finally, in this way  Roshni's soul got justice.

Inspite of all this , people still don't understand the real value of women. Many still think that "women are only meant to be used". In my opinion, there are two types of men who torture women. One, who physically tortures  women and other who mentally tortures  women. I think, the second on is more dangerous bad harmful.  Though they are not physically torturing women but  they are mentally effecting them at lot, from which many women cannot overcome or move on.

We know, a little by little becomes a lot. Similarly, if all of us take a little step then it will have a huge impact on our society. And we could resolve this, we can make this Earth a safer place off women.

So, instead of putting a question mark on a women's character, the society must teach the men to respect women and their opinions and consent too.
